<p>Every now and then, we like to look off the sides of the Pocket Gamer mothership to see if anyone else appreciates mobile games as much as we do.</p><p>Usually, there isn't that much love for our pocket-sized play things to shout or cheer about. Apparently, a lot of people look down on mobile games.</p><p>But, as these games get better with every passing year, more people and publications are sharing in our love for them.</p><p>This is why we'd like to take a moment to celebrate the fact that both TIME magazine and Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima picked a mobile game as their game of the year.</p><p>For TIME, the number one spot in its "Top 10 Video Games of 2014" belonged to the Gold Award-winning 80 Days. Much deserved, as we called it a " sharp, wonderfully written adventure" in our review.</p><p>Also representing mobile and handheld gaming in TIME's list are Velocity 2X, Shovel Knight, Monument Valley, and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.</p>"Without any doubt"<p>As for Kojima, he revealed his game of the year via Twitter - how modern of him.</p><p>"Played "FRAMED" by L[o]veshack. High sense of gameplay, graphic, & sound. My best game in this year without any doubt," reads Kojima's tweet.</p><p>So yes, Loveshack's Gold Award-winning Framed is Kojima's game of 2014. Pretty impressive, don't you think?</p><p>Now, obviously, all of Pocket Gamer's top picks of the year are going to be handheld and mobile games, as that's what we deal in.</p><p>The question is whether, out of all the games released this year, you'll pick any mobile games as your favourites. Well?</p>

He approached the Bull and said, "I have slain a fine sheep, my friend; and if you will come home and partake of him with me, I shall be delighted to have your company." The Lion said this in the hope that, as the Bull was in the act of reclining to eat, he might attack him to advantage, and make his meal on him. The Bull, on approaching the Lion's den, saw the huge spits and giant caldrons, and no sign whatever of the sheep, and, without saying a word, quietly took his departure. The Lion inquired why he went off so abruptly without a word of salutation to his host, who had not given him any cause for offense. "I have reasons enough," said the Bull. "I see no indication whatever of your having slaughtered a sheep, while I do see very plainly every preparation for your dining on a bull."
